Faith Community Church began as an extension ministry from the Church of the Open Bible way back in September of 2005. There's a lot that has happened since that time as the church continued to grow and serve the community of Blackfalds. Recently the church has gained it's charitable status with the Federal government and now is autionomous in it's management of itself. It has a governing team that we affectionately refer to as the 'A- Team', a group of men, two of whom are Elders, two are Deacons. There are also a goup of women who also serve on this team, two Deaconesses and an awesome Treasurer. The pastor of the church is the last member of the team. If you were to ask us to describe what kind of church this is we'd probably say that it's one in which there's room for you. We highly value the way that each person of this small but growing ministry has an important contribution to make. Why don't you come and see for yourself.
